A Case of Metastasized Intradural Extramedullary Cord Tumor from Adenocarcinoma of the Lung

Abstract
Spinal intradural metastasis from pulmonary system is rare but usually metastasis to epidural space and spinal bony structures. The authors experienced a rare case of spinal intradural metastatic adenocarcinoma from pulmonary system.
A 56 year-old male patient was admitted to Chonbuk National University Hospital because of coughing, low back pain, radiating pain to the right greast toe and numbness of the right calf area. Spinal magnetic resonance image(MRI) showed mass

on
just below the conus medullaris and which revealed round oval shape.
Intraoperative findings showed intradural extramedullary mass, which was like as neurofibroma but postoperative biopsy confirmed that was a metastatic tumor from the lung.
The authors discuss the radiological findings and treatments along with an extensive review of literatures.
